"Mummy, don't worry"

I've a 4 month old cousin who recently got admitted and is still admitted to a hospital ICU unit. Mummy briefly told me on last Friday morning that there's a baby in hospital and is sick. Mummy showed me a grumpy look to indicate that she is saddened by my cousin's hospitalisation. I gave her a hug and stroke her face to "sayang" her.

Then on Saturday night, while mummy was trying to tuck me to sleep, out of the sudden i told her:

Eagan: "Mummy sick sick see doctor, eat medicine."

Mummy: "Huh?"

Eagan: "Baby sick sick, mummy don't worry. It's ok, Eagan sayang" (stroking mummy's face while saying this)

Mummy: "Ok baby, thank you!"

I kept repeating the same thing, "Mummy don't worry" and stroke mummy's face. Eventually, mummy felt asleep before i did.

Mummy's note: I didn't realise my that few words and expression had such an impact on him. It's not a happy issue and i didn't want to share too much with him coz i thought he wouldn't understand anyway, so i just casually mention about it once. I didn't expect him to bring it up the next day and ask me not to worry about it. Well, he may appear rogue to some, but he is indeed a very senstive and lovable boy, at least to us. I'm so proud of my boy:-) And with the whole thing that happened, it makes me treasure my boy more and not take things for granted.

It just dawned on me how vulnerable life can be. A chubby, smiley and healthy 4 month old who is totally breastfed can suddenly become so helpless after some "viral attack". The baby girl is my cousin's only child and it took the couple many years to realize the dream of becoming parents. Everyone is praying for the baby girl's recovery and hope that one day, she can be out of the hospital with her sweetie smile.

Phone Conversation with Mummy

*Ring Ring*

Mummy: "Hi, Eagan."

Eagan: "Hello, mummy."

Mummy: "Baby, what are you doing?"

(奶奶 whishpering from behind: "跟Mummy讲我在吃饭.")

Eagan: "I eating rice."

~Literal translation. *Bengzz*~

Mummy: "Where will you be going later?"

Eagan: "I going to feed fish. Go Suntec."

Eagan: "Mummy, you want to go?"

(A little surprise by the question)

Mummy: "Oh uhhh, can i go?"

Eagan: "Can."

Mummy: "But but...mummy gotta work."

Eagan: "Ok..."

Mummy: "Sorry baby..."

Polliwogs Again!

Daddy is on leave today and he brought me to Polliwogs again! Yes, i was there just 2days ago and today, daddy decided to bring me there again. No pictures taken though coz our "camera woman" (mummy) gotta work.

After the 1 hour session, daddy was complaining of bodyache coz most of the time mummy will be the one bringing me around. Daddy said coz mummy is short and "petite" so she still should be the one to accompany me for such activity.

Mummy exclaimed: "Win liao lor!"

Happy Birthday to Rayden Kor Kor!

Rayden kor kor celebrated his 4th birthday last Saturday. Mummy took a day off to bring me to kor kor's child care centre to celebrate the special day with him on last Friday. The celebration concluded with a family picnic @ Sentosa, same venue as last year.

Left: Arriving at the child care. A little surprise to see so many kor kors and jie jies.
Right: Xiao yi engaged Mac Donald's party host to the school.

Left: Waiting for the party to begin.
Right: Renise mei mei is always so well behaved. She sat quietly when xiao yi asked her to. This jie jie on the right has 2 younger siblings, she was like a big sista constantly taking care of Renise.

It's PARTY time!

Ahemm.....how come i'm not in the picture? Most likely i was busy exploring the centre:p

Hee...check out our synchronized pose.

Left: Hand made card from the teacher.
Right: The teachers knew that Transformer is Rayden kor kor's favourite, that's why the transformer table cover and transfomer toy!

Huh...the games are more for kor kors and jie jies.

All of us enjoyed the Mac Donald's meal.

Eyeing on Renise's share.

Left: Look at mei mei's innocent look. Who would bear to snatch away her burger. (Psst...xiao yi said mei mei can gulp down as much as 360ml of milk at night, so i doubt this burger is sufficient for her).
Right: Jiu jiu also took time off from work to celebrate for kor kor. He sure is a lucky boy.

Cake cutting. It's impossible to take a decent group photo even with the 4 year olds. So, mummy is starting to wonder how the November "BBs" group party is going to turn out.

Rayden kor kor and his Transformer birthday cake.

Left: Family photo.
Right: Picture with bibiks. Notice i changed my clothings? Burger, hash brown, cake and apple juice, i guess i only have limited capacity coz i puked.

Good and bad thing about a non-airconditioned child care centre. Everyone was so sweaty after the party.

After the party, we proceeded to Waraku at East Coast park for lunch.

This is our kid's meal. The food is not only yummy but cheap and most importantly.....each of the kiddos at our table received 3 toys! The adults were very impressed with the service. Rightfully, there should only be 1 toy that comes free with the kid's meal, but the manager bribed me with extra toys with the condition of me sitting through and finish off my meal:p

This, this and this...haha...Rayden kor kor even told the manager "Auntie, i like you!"

Jiu jiu was nice, he stayed through for lunch with us.

After lunch, Helen yi yi also took leave to bring Caleb to join us for a date at PLW (again!). We had a blast! I really love this place!

Having a rolling good time with Renise.

Ouch...kena boxed by the ball. Kee kee...

Left: Helen yi yi is Xiao yi and mummy's good friend for close to 20 years:)
Right: That's Caleb di di. We've not seen him for about 6 months since his 1 year old birthday. Boy, he has grown so big and tall.

Mummy said it'll be so fun to look back at the photos i took with mei mei years down the road:-)

Hugsss and kiss goodbye.

I'm Little Mechanic!

Guess mummy is training me to be a handyman just like daddy, so she bought me this Thomas the Train toy that allows me to tear everything apart and fix it back together again. I can now handle the screw driver very well.

"I Busy"

Mummy: "Eagan, can you come over and give mummy a great big hug?"

(Sitting at a corner meddling with the magnetic door stopper, i replied)

Eagan: "I doing something, i busy".
