我病了

我病了... And this is the 3rd day i'm running high fever, hovering between 37.8 - 39.8 degree celcius. No, i haven't been to USA nor Mexico, so this naughty bug that is attacking me is definitely not Swine Flu. Initially we thought it was the MMR jab that i took about a week ago that is causing me the fever, but Dr Hiew said its throat infection and he said i probably caught it from daddy:(. I've not been eating and drinking well for the past few days and the folks at home are very sad seeing me in this state. Daddy took 1.5 day leave to take care of me, he cooked Tofu and fishball soup and patiently sponged me. Mummy on the other hand was super busy with work coz of the Swine Flu pandemic. All leaves for the management are freezed for the next 3-6 months depending how far the swine flu episode will stretch. But mummy obviously heck care with it and took child care leave to help take care of me today. Luckily her boss was really understanding ... As for 奶奶, needless to say, she is always the best. I'm guilty that she had not been sleeping well for the past 2 nights, she practically woke up every hour to check on me and take my temperature. She made me barley drink, 羚羊 and apple juice. 对不起 & 谢谢您, 奶奶.

I've been taking cough syrup, phlegm medicine, fever medicine and antibiotics, but the terrible sore throat is still stubbornly fighting with me. And it certainly doesn't help that i've not been pooing for the past 2 days, so my very worried daddy and mummy went back to Dr Hiew again this evening seeking his advise and at the same time ask Dr Hiew for the suppository to stimulate my poo. Gosh, i certainly hope they don't have to do this to me and i hope Dr Hiew's words are right. He said my fever should subside after my 4th dose of the antibiotics and i should be well tomorrow.

Daddy prepared a yummy dish for me:

Left: Daddy in the midst of preparing the dish for me.
Right: My favourite Tofu with char siew, fish glue and scallop. I finished everything!

And mummy made this. Equally nice! Thank you folks!

My Medication:

Please pray hard for my speedy recovery.

I'm 17 Months Old!

Hello hello!!!!! I've been missing in action for 1 month, i know! I can explain that. As some of you may know, i just got back from my 5 days, 4 nights Hongkong/Macau trip last Saturday. Because the trip was a last minute plan, mummy had no choice but to put her butt down to plan for the trip everyday after she came back from work.

Ok ok, now that i'm back, i shall try my best to pen down my updates more often. So many things took place during the time i MIA. There's Marina Barrage outing, Caleb's birthday, Twins Lucas & Leroy's birthday party, Little Green Frog Play, HK/Macau trip and many more. I'll see if i've the chance to update everything.

Anyways, as you can see from the subject header, i turn 17 months today. Mummy & daddy said it's getting more interesting and fun to communicate with me now coz i can understand many things they said and likewise, the folks can better appreciate what i wanna express most of the time.

Weight: 12.5kg
Height: 80cm

My sexy 17 months body. (To protect myself, all important parts are bubbled up).

Hongkong/Macau 5 Days 4 Nights Trip (Day 1)

Hooray!!! I just got back from our Hongkong/Macau 5 Days 4 Nights Trip on Saturday (7th Apr - 11 Apr 2009). It was a very good trip consider it being planned about 2-3 weeks prior to our departure. Mummy & daddy's definition of "Good" for the trip are: 1) Eagan enjoyed the trip, 2) 奶奶 enjoyed the trip, 3) Eagan didn't get cranky throughout the trip, 4) Eagan ate, slept, pooed well, 5) Nobody falls sick during the trip. Checked, checked, checked, checked, checked. Of course my folks are happy too.

About the Flight
My folks thought it'll be a problem to board the 640am flight (Jetstar) coz they were worried that i would be cranky. But luckily not coz it's a blessing in disguise that i still reuire my night feed at abt 330-4am every night, so it was just at the right time coz mummy woke me up at abt 345am, gave me milk, entertained me a bit and i was drained when we boarded the plan at abt 640am. Mummy gave me milk during the take off and i zzzzz.....immediately after. I woke up when the plan touched down HK and was 100% engergized!

And the coming back, we took the 3pm+ flight (Tiger Airways), i also slept throughout the journey.
And, when we touched down in Spore, take our luggages and head for dinner and reached home at abt 10pm, i was tired enough to sleep. Daddy & mummy initially wanted the 1130pm flight but it was fully booked, they thought it'll be good to let me sleep in the plane at that kinda hour, but luckily we didn't manage to get that flight coz if i were to sleep during that time and when the plane reached spore at abt 1am, i would be wide awake when we got home at abt 2am.

About the Hotel
Luckily mummy booked a hotel that is located very near the Prince Edward MTR (3mins walk). With all shopping bags, stroller, diaper bag, daddy's camera bag and a 12kg toddler, the last thing the folks want is to walk a 20-30mins back to the hotel after the whole day out.

About the Food
Ohhhhh.....mummy certainly doesn't remember the Hongkongers have such saltish taste bud. Or rather, she didn't bother about the food during her past trips to Hongkong. The porridge that mummy ordered for me was really tasty, but definitely too saltish, even for the adults! I tried their porridge twice from different restaurants, both were terribly saltish. I had rice for the rest of my trip and luckily, they were really yummy and not as saltish.

Bread - Hongkong has lotsa confectionary shops, basically all MTR has it, so mummy bought some for me as snacks in the afternoon.

About the $
Daddy said the exchange rate in Hongkong is no good, so have to change sufficient currency, else use credit card coz the rate is better.

Ok too much of those details, i guess it's always more interesting to see pictures rather than words. Here goes:

Day 1

Super happy and energized at about 5am.

Look at the clock behind to check on the time. But for the seek of a good holiday, it's ok to sacrifice my beauty sleep once in awhile.

Daddy needs his daily cuppa as always to kick off his (holi)day:-)

Left: Daddy pretending to fall asleep while waiting for the flight.
Right: Adults always say it's never gonna be the same going on holiday again ever since i come into their lives. But comm'on, besides all the worrying of the climate, food, lodging, space for my diapers and milk powder, etc etc. There's always this teeny weeny advantage of travelling with me. That is, we got to be the 1st to board on the flight. That's the importance of we kiddos! Hee...

This was the initial sitting arrangment. 1 by 1, side by side.

And as the flight took off, we reshuffled and had the 1 take 3 kinda sitting arrangement as offered by the nice and kind stewardess. Oh btw, mummy said i need to emphasize here that she was play pretend to sleep here. She didn't have the chance to really sleep, but she did doze off a little when the scenario changed after a not as nice and kind stewardess came and ask us to shift to another row coz that was the emergency escape passage way. That's when mummy had to carry me in her arm to sleep for the rest of the journey. But still, the journey was good coz i slept THROUGHOUT the trip.

Left: Hongkong, here we come!
Right: Anyone here knows lip reading? Can you see mummy mumbling her infamous phrase "Holiday is never gonna be the same again". Poor mummy, but you've to learn to accept the fact! Hiak hiak!

Seeing my happy expressions, mummy repeated her "Holiday is never gonna be the same again". But this time round, it's for the good cause:-)

Arriving in Hongkong, with my super duper heavy diaper.

Left: We had our lunch at 大家乐 in the airport. This might be a common dish amongst the Hongkongers, but my folks thought it's really yummy. Or maybe they were truly very hungry. Look closely and you can see me eyeing on the food in the background.
Right: Mummy says: "Yum yum..."

Left: Where? Where? Tell me where is the spiderman?
Right: Ha ha...now i call this "Elder Man" (Elmo + Spider Man).

Snap snap while mummy settle our hotel arrangement. And oh, another advantage of travelling with me. The nice and handsome hotel manager arranged for the biggest deluxe room for us when he saw me in tow. How nice huh.

Woo hoo...i love bath tubs. It's always nice to soak into a pool of bubbles, get a massage from my private masseur and have a warm milk feed. That's life and i love it!
(Btw, this trip was also meant specially for 奶奶 coz she's been working very hard to take so good care of me for the past 17 months. So mummy & daddy made sure as far as they could 奶奶 shall rest and enjoy the trip while daddy & mummy take charge of all my needs).

Left: Monkey see, monkey do.
Right: Oh mummy, stop acting cute. "无眼看!"

Buying ticket to go to Lantau Island (Da Yu Shan).

Reached Tung Chung station. Obviously these photos were not taken by mummy. Mummy extracted most of the nicer photos from daddy's album:p

Left: Our rare and few family photo. In the cable car, on our way to Lantau Island.
Right: And obviously, this not too bad photo was taken with mummy's dummy digital camera.

Some photos with 奶奶.

My folks, trying to act cute and serious at the same time. *Duh*

Some solo shots before we reached our destination.

Left: Why are you staring at me?
Right: Urrr.....hee...i'm sure mummy & daddy will not scold me for sticking out my tongue coz i've proof of them doing the same.

Left: Hmm...wondering who will be the hero to carry me up to meet the huge Buddha.
Right: Shop around before we conquer the flight of stairs.

Left: Do i look like a cute little monk?
Right: Mummy took the chance to take more photos with me coz she is usually the one to hold the camera and hence seldom the chance for the "Us" photos.

Left: Eeeeee...what's that smell? It's so much more stinko than my "Ah Hemmm"!
Right: Ahhhhh....it's the cow dung! 奶奶 is saying "Don't breathe. Hold your breath like me."

Ok, one serious shot here with daddy and 奶奶.

Resting, praying and donating before we conquer the stairs.

奶奶 insisted to carry me up the first flight of stairs.

Left: Hero no.2 - Daddy.
Right: A very exhausted daddy. Kee kee.....

Big Budhha.

Taking a rest and taking more photos.

I'm so so happy!
