Tummy Time

Mummy keeps telling me that tummy time is vital for development, but i hate it at times coz its rather uncomfortable to lay on the floor. So mummy offered me something interesting and that actually encourages me abit.

To have my tummy against that of daddy's is something so comfy as oppose to the hardy floor. (Opss...i don't mean to insult daddy's bod. My dad is sturdy, not hardy. Kee kee...)

Daddy whipped up a fabulous meal for us today.

I waited eagerly for my food, but daddy said he only prepared my usual milk, how boring.


This was what they had for dinner today. Can see, cannot eat. Sob sob...

When Mummy Is Not @ Home...Hee hee...

Mummy has gone back to work since this Monday, i was bored staying home with 奶奶 and bibik Fitri all day. So, i did something naughty...i "slept" with a girl for the very 1st time when mummy's not around.

Unfortunately, i was caught in the act. This was what happened:

I hug her for the very 1st time.


This sweet little lady was shy and pushed me away.


I told her i'll tell no one.


We held hand and laid together for the longest time. I shared stories of my life, from my daily cries to brands of tissue wipes, she listened attentively.


After a long chat, she said she was tired. She took a nap while i watched her sleep.


Me too, was getting tired after sometime and eventually fell asleep. And this was how we ended up "sleeping" together.

Wa ha ha...Just pulling everyone's leg. I'm a gentleman, thou shall not have the wrong impression. The sweet little lady is actually my dear cousin, Renise. Xiao yi brought Renise to our house to deliver her full month cake.

I'm 2 Months Old

Today is 18/01/2008 and i'm celebrating my 2 months old birthday. However, this day also marks the end of mummy's maternity leave as she reports back to work come next Monday. I'm gonna miss her so much...In order to make full use of the time spent with mummy, i actually got real naughty today. I made mummy carry me from 9am to 430pm till 奶奶 came back to take over. Ha ha...i overheard mummy complaining to 奶奶 that i almost broke her arms! To salvage the situation, i threw in my cheeky smile and it worked wonder, mummy's heart melted instantly. What a memorable 2 months old birthday...

Hee...don't blame me for being the occasional monster, i can be an angel at times. Just gimme my milk in time:-)


I'm currently drinking 120ml of milk every 3 hourly. But i think it's about time they increase the volume of my milk as i'm always rooting for more milk after each feed. Mummy tried giving me 150ml today and i was contented and took my nap after the feed. Hmm...shall monitor how it goes, hopefully by taking 150ml, i can drag my feeding time to every 4 hourly. That'll definitely be a GREAT NEWS for all my caregivers.


I weigh 5.5kg today. Check out my bod.

As i celebrate being 2 months old, these are some milestones mummy think i have achieved:

1. Vocalizes: gurgles and coos
2. Follows objects across field of vision
3. Notices my hands
4. Holds head up for short periods
5. Smiles, laughs
6. Holds head at 45-degree angle
7. Makes smoother movements
8. Holds head steady
9. Can differentiate familiar voices
10. Lifts head and shoulders when lying on tummy (mini-pushup)

Looking Back...

Time flies...It's been more than 50 days since i was being ushered into the world. And it'll be within days that mummy will be going back to work, leaving me under the care of 奶奶.

Let's take a few minutes to reminisce my arrival...
That's ME inside my mummy's stomach after a good 39 weeks growing in a small confined space (fyi, lotsa people commented that mummy had a small and neat stomach when she had me:-D).

After a few pushes, i'm outta mummy's womb. I answered to mummy's prayer and didn't let mummy suffer much during labour. In fact, i was so eager to meet mummy & daddy that i was almost out before the gynae came.

"Wind" In My Stomach..:-(

Sob sob...i've been feeling unwell for the past 1 week after my 2nd Hep B jab. As i'm too young to differentiate, i don't know if it's due to the jab i took. But, mummy doubt so.

My belly button got swollen and my pediatrician said it is due to "wind" in my stomach. I was prescribed with a nice orange tasting medicine called 'Debridat'. Apparently, i feel much better and can keep my milk better. BUT, although i don't regurgitate that much after medication, i still feel uncomfortable at my belly button area. I've no choice but to wail in order to express my discomfort. This, of course has caused daddy, mummy and 奶奶 crazy. Just hope they can continue to be patient with me, till then i can only say sorry...

According to the internet, colic is "a term used to describe uncontrollable crying in an otherwise healthy baby. If your baby is younger than 5 months old and cries for more than three hours in a row on three or more days a week for at least three weeks (phew!), chances are he's colicky. Colic isn't a disease and won't cause your baby any long-term harm, but it's a tough thing to go through for both babies and their parents."

From traditional chinese medicine to western ones, mummy is trying all sorts (of course with due care) to help me pass through this terrible phase.

My 3rd Excursion

After my 1st and 2nd excursion to Suntec City and Raffles Shopping Centre, daddy, mummy & 奶奶 brought me to Leisure Park shopping centre after dinner to mark and celebrate the last day of 2007. It's a new shopping centre located near our neighourhood. Let me have the honour to introduce some of the facilities there before its grand opening come March 2008.

There's a bowling centre;


A "Kou Fu" foodcourt. Daddy condemned the Japanese and Western food there. But mummy finds the food ok though. Perhaps mummy is easier to please and daddy is fussier in taste. Oh, this could well explain why they have choosen each other. Ha ha...sorry daddy.


There's also a Cold Storage supermarket. See me drool at the sight of the banana.


Oh ya, one thing to add: It's really cold at the "Cold" storage. See how i was being wrapped up in this thick sweater.


Lastly, there is also a zoo in Leisure Park.

Just joking, that's my dear daddy making funny face.

Do give mummy a tinkle if you happen to shop at Leisure Park. I'll ask mummy and daddy to bring me there again. Would love to try out the ice skating ring, catch a movie and even drink coffee (i mean milk) with you.
