I'm 19 Months Old!

I've learnt several new words over the past few weeks, and i must give credit to 奶奶 who has been teaching and exploring new stuff with me when mummy and daddy are at work. Here's a video of teacher Eagan teaching Barney some new words:

Note the location of my "classroom". It's in the kitchen, outside the toilet. Ha ha...that's the place where 奶奶, bibik & i have our daily afternoon "party".

And counting my 1, 2, 3 video:

"Mask Room"

I spent my usual play time with 奶奶 one afternoon. She introduced to me this umbrella look-alike thing call Mushroom. I disagreed with her analogy and placed my palm over my face to indicate my version of "Mask" and pointed to my room to tell her "Room". Ha ha...

奶奶: Eagan, this is mushroom

Me: No, 奶奶. This is

My New "Ferrari"

Ok, this post should have been created some 3-4 weeks ago:p (Just like my HK trip updates should have been 2 months ago!) Nevertheless, check out my new toy. A remote controlled mobile car from daddy for the recent "suffering" at the hospital.

If you remember my recent post, daddy's been trying to persuade mummy to nod her head and say "Yes" to him buying the car for me. Mummy didn't say anything but daddy kept wanting to go shopping around for "toy". So here's me, trying out one unit from Toys R Us. And no no, this car doesn't suit daddy's criteria. Next!

In the end, we decided on this car no.2. Hee....nah...not this. But mummy bought this spade and shovel set for me that comes with this carriage for our next beach outing.

Finally, after rounds of scouting around, daddy finally decided on this! A Ferrari F1 sports car with spoiler and all. And most importantly, it comes with a remote control. We were testing out the car outside the Kiddy palace in Marina Square. Mummy said we could rent the car out and charge $5 for a 10 minutes ride just like the animal rides outside the store in order to earn back the $. Hmmm...woman!

I definitely feel like the most fortunately toddler on earth. Thank you so much daddy!

Angel(s) & Demon(s)

No, not the Tom Hanks movie that is currently running in the theatres that i'm going to talk about. I just want to use this to share with all the "Angel" & "Demon" in my context.

Angel -> Daddy
Demon -> Mummy

Mummy: Boo hoo hoo.......:-(

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mummies out there! Unfortunately, daddy and i couldn't bring mummy out to celebrate her day coz it's daddy's turn to feel unwell. So we thought better to stay home and nurse rather than passing the virus to others. But, we did go for a little shopping at Bugis Junction yesterday and i bought mummy a ring as her Mother's Day present. And, another precious present to mummy is... I'm off my opium (pacifier). It's been a week since I last touch my "tu tu", so i'm officially off it! Tell you something funny. I saw a little baby with pacifier in his mouth the other day at Robinsons, I stroke my cheek with my index finger and exclaimed "eee... Shame shame". The daddy turned around and smile, daddy and mummy were so embarressed.

Here's me at Bugis Junction yesterday:

Daddy was so tempted to buy me this car. But mummy said No.

And @ home today:

Coz mummy said i already have a "BMW" @ home. Sharing my motorbike with Buddy and Barney.

My 10 years old BMW motorbike passed down from Sheryl jie jie.

我进医院了.....

Yes, i was hospitalised last week due to my prolong fever. My fever went up and down like the roller coaster for about 7 days till daddy & mummy decided to bring me to KKH for a detailed check. If you wonder why my folks waited so long to bring me to KKH, it's because my fever actually came down for about 2 days after i took the fever medicine and when i went off the medicine, my temperature went shooting high up again. Doctor from KKH said the antibiotic is good and should have cured me within a few days, but obviously not coz my fever was not totally gone. The doctor did a calculation and said the amount i took was not enough based on my weight, it should have been at least 40% in addition to the amount given!!! And that explains why the prolong fever.

Daddy & 奶奶 rushed me to KKH last Tuesday afternoon where we met up with mummy. We consulted Dr Loh LH from KKH, she was very patient and detailed with the examination. She ordered urine test (to check if i've UTI) and blood test (to check on my white blood cell). After about an hour, the result of the tests came back. My urine test came out to be negative, but the blood test report didn't turn out to be too good, indicating probable infection. After explaining to mummy & daddy, Dr Loh seriously thought it would be wiser to admit me to the hospital for a more thorough check. Daddy & mummy trusted that to be the best option for me, so off we went to do the paper work for the admission. And by the time we finised the consultation, it was already about 7pm, mummy felt so bad that the staff and Doc had to stay back for me.

Left: Sitting on the visitor's sofa cum bed thinking when can i go home.
Right: Daddy feeding me breakfast. Hee...check out my spiderman on the window. Hee...Barney, Pooh bear, spiderman, power ranger, Elmo and friends finger puppet were with me throughout my 3D/2N stay.

Left: Wa, the breakfast looks yummy. Daddy, how do you eat with your mask on? (Daddy is coughing, so he has been keeping his mask till today, even when he is sleeping. Daddy said the last thing he wants is to pass back the cough bug to me. Poor thing...).
Right: Must be the antibiotic that's working. I had great appetite, i finished the slice of bread, half the hot dog, tomatoe and some scrumbled egg. At least my appetite is picking up.

Left: Look at the Mickey Mouse Balloon that mummy's colleague bought for me. It perks me up. I love balloons! Thank you Auntie Christina!
Right: I'm hungry hungry and so hungry.

Left: Mummy & daddy chose the A1 ward for me, they didn't want me to mix with the rest of the kids. If not for my fever, i'm otherwise well. In fact, my fever subsided after just 1 dose of antibiotic. Miracle!
Right: Look at me, so poor thing, gotta be on the IV plug so that the nurses could administer the antibiotic. Mummy asked for other option but the doctor said this is the fastest way to bring down my fever. 奶奶 cried, mummy cried and daddy cried hardest seeing me go through all these. I stopped crying when i saw daddy cried for the first time. I hugged and patted daddy instead. Daddy & mummy did think whether it's a wise choice to put me through all these suffering, but indeed it's necessary coz who knows how long my fever will last and it's certainly no joke for kids my age to have fever this long. So better be KS then sorry, they thought. And thumbs up to the team in KKH ward 86 who took great care of me. Thank you!

Left: Spending time @ the play area.
Right: Daddy brought his lappy to the hospital to rush out out some report.
(To daddy's team mates: Sorry, daddy had to absent himself to stay by my side during the days when i was hospitalised. My apologies on behalf).

Left: A gift from my neighbour Joelle jie jie. Guess what's inside the box?
Right: It a bear named Buddy. Joelle bought this bear for me after knowing i got admitted to hospital. So sweet of her, i feel so blessed:-)

Special thanks to:
~ Mummy who stayed over in the hospital for 2 nights with me.
~ Daddy who took care of me while mummy went back to work on Day 1.
~ 奶奶 who got so worried for me.
~ My 公公, 姨姨 & 舅舅, Sheryl and Sherry jie jie who so wanted to come and visit me but was asked not to due to the visitor restriction in the hospital coz of Swine Flu. Daddy updated them via Facebook instead:-)
